VOTING

Residents may register to vote Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Registrars office located at the Department of Motor Vehicles located at 25552 Lee Highway, Abingdon.   Telephone   276-623-6227.

Newcomers must purchase license plates within 30 days of establishing residence in Virginia at the Division of Motor Vehicles at 25552 Lee Highway, Abingdon.

New Virginia residents must pass an eye test and surrender their valid driver’s license from another state.

WASHINGTON COUNTY DOG TAGS

All dogs six months or older must have a county dog tag.  You must provide proof of your dog’s rabies vaccination signed by a licensed veterinarian.  The charge is $7.00 female dog, male dog $7.00, spayed and neutered $4.00.
